SUBJECT: Essential Session for Training Managers with APA U Responsibilities
                   Wednesday, Februry 17 at 10:00 am (Central)

The events of the past year and pandemic restrictions have reinforced the relevance of on-line learning, and the APA quickly added display operator refresher modules to course offerings last Spring so that member companies could meet state training requirements for their existing technicians. Recently, APA Vice President Stephen Pelkey, Atlas PyroVision Entertainment, spent considerable time and effort to revamp and significantly expand the course offerings available through APA U making this Learning Management System (LMS) even more valuable.

To date, well over 60 member companies have signed up for APA U, however from activity logs, we can see the extensive training resources are being under-utilized.

To assist companies in fully understanding the wide range of courses available to them, the association has engaged Brian Sullivan, PRECISE Selling, to conduct a workshop for Training Mangers as a “how to” session. This workshop will take place on Wednesday, February 17 at 10:00 am Central Time (11:00 am Eastern, 9:00 am Mountain and 8:00 am Pacific).

It is essential for every company to have a designated Training Manager who will be responsible for managing the APA U for their company. Unfortunately, with the APA’s limited staff of 2 it cannot assume day-to-day managerial functions, these are the responsibility of each company that wishes to utilize the free training courses. Your company’s Training Manager(s) will need to spend time exploring APA U and its over 150 courses so that they can become familiar with all that is available and can fully utilize those courses that are relevant for their company. Larger companies may wish to have more than one person participate in the training, particularly to learn how their “Training Manager” may enroll Learners (users) for their company.

This workshop will assist Training Managers in:

•  Understanding their role as a Training Manager.

•  Learning how to add Learners (users)

•  Reviewing how to enroll Learners in specific courses.

•  Explaining how to assign Learners in specific courses relevant to their company position / role such as:

    - Display Operators
    - Drivers (including new detailed driver training program)
    - Facility Operators
    - Warehouse Personnel
    -  Retail Operations
    -  Office / Clerical Personnel
    -  Manufacturing
